Capturing your wedding
My wedding photography is very natural and unscripted, focusing on capturing all the main moments authentically, without any awkward posing or forced smiles. My photos often capture the way a wedding feels; is it busy, crowded and noisy with people all over the place, or does being there feel intimate, like it's your own little bubble universe?
I especially love taking candids - whether that's a teary dad during the ceremony, or a fabulous friend on the dancefloor. Above all I like to be unobtrusive, keeping out of the way and taking photos from a distance so everyone can just get on with enjoying themselves!
I also take a consent-based approach to photography - meaning that if any of your guests don't feel comfortable having their picture taken, I will respect their wishes.

choosing the right wedding photographer for you
The key to getting great wedding photographs is choosing a photographer that you think you'll work well with - somebody that matches the vibe you're going for, whose style of photography you like, and who you can feel comfortable with both on and off camera.
I deliberately don't take on too many weddings each year, but the ones I do work suit me down to the core. I always have a lovely experience, and that's because I take the time to find clients I know I'll work well with. I offer free consultations to anyone who wants to know more about my wedding photography, which give us the chance to get to know each other. That way you can decide if I'm right for you, and I can get a sense of what your wedding will be like.
You want natural, un-staged images
Ultra-posed wedding photos aren't my style AT ALL.
All my images have a natural, documentary feel to them. My favourite photographs are those which show people caught up in a moment; laughing, crying, reacting to one another, and simply being themselves.
You want Someone who is unobstrusive
I want you and your guests to be able to enjoy the day, without feeling like you're constantly on camera.
I make sure never to block anyone's view during the ceremony, keep the group photos minimal, and aim for subtlety when taking candids!
you want an lgbtq wedding photographer
I'm very queer and not at all shy about it! I guarantee to never pose you based on assumed gender roles, use out-of-date heteronormative language or make weird assumptions.
And what's more, I'll probably be bursting with queer joy for you all day!
You're planning a wedding that's a bit different
Alternative, non-traditional weddings are AMAZING. Whether you're planning to get married on a mountain, forgo all traditions entirely, or have a fully Lord of the Rings themed wedding, I am so there for all of it (and actually have and a full Gandalf outfit that I can wear for that last one!)

My ethos: Affordability
Wedding photography can be expensive. Not everyone has a large budget, and hiring a professional, experienced and high-quality wedding photographer isn't within everyone's means.
While I need to make a living out of my work, I've developed my wedding packages specifically with affordability in mind. I believe that everyone should be able to afford to have those special moments captured, regardless of wealth or income.
My packages are budget friendly, including short wedding rates for under £500. Low prices aren't synonymous with a reduction in quality, though; you will still receive a set of gorgeous, high-quality wedding photographs.
My Ethos: Queer & LGBTq weddings
I am of course open to inquiries from anyone and everyone, but I have a special place in my heart for queer, LGBTQ and polyamorous weddings.
As a transgender, asexual person in a polyamorous, queerplatonic relationship, I love being able to celebrate the happiness of those in similarly non-traditional relationship types. It brings me so much joy to be able to meet and work with other queer people, and to tell their stories with my camera.
Whatever your orientation, relationship style or gender identity, I want my photos to celebrate you for who you are, so you can be yourself and get on with having the best day possible!

The pre-wedding session
Pre-wedding sessions are included in both of my packages because I view them as a really important part of my process.
These sessions can take many different forms, including a walk around your local area, your wedding venue, or even a hike up a mountain. Or, they can incorporate the things that are special to you; if you met at a board games night or a pottery class, we can easily work that into the photos!
Most of all I like to use these sessions as a way of helping you feel comfortable on camera. They give us the opportunity to relax around each other before your wedding, and allow us to discuss which kinds of images you like best. It usually makes taking photos on the day a lot easier!
Wedding Packages
I have two standard wedding photography packages, which you can learn more about below. I do also offer custom packages, for anyone requiring less than three hours. For more information about custom packages, please contact me directly.

Something Smaller: £450
My short wedding package is perfect for anyone on a budget, or holding a small-scale wedding or micro-wedding. It covers three hours of photography, giving us enough time to capture all the main moments, plus some wiggle room for candids.
We'll usually start out with an initial chat on zoom or in person, to see if I'm a good fit to be your wedding photographer. After that, we'll aim to have a pre-wedding photoshoot; this gives you the chance to work off any nerves about being on camera before your wedding day arrives!
We'll come up with a schedule for the day in advance: for short bookings I usually recommend 40ish minutes to get some natural portraits of just the two of you, and no more than 30 minutes for group photos, if you want any. Outside of that, I mostly stay out of the way and take candids during the ceremony and for the rest of the time I'm there!
After your wedding you'll get a sneak peek at the photos within a couple of days, so that you have some to share with friends, family or on social media. I then aim to finish editing the full set of images within 6 weeks.
full day package: £1000
My full day package is intended for those who want oodles of photographs! It covers eight hours of photography, giving us plenty of time to capture all the main moments plus a hell of a lot of candids!

We'll come up with a schedule for the day in advance, planning out a time to steal away and do some photos just of you, along with time for a few group photos, if you want any. Outside of that, I mostly stay out of the way and take candids of your guests while they don't realise they're on camera.

"Thank you so much for being such a big part of how we will remember our wedding day! Your incredible eye captured so many moments in a way that made us feel queer, beautiful, and extremely special. Now can we please just be friends?!"
